Join us to celebrate Shabbat at the Cal Veterans' Center to be a part of a truly unique cultural experience. We will be co-hosting with Berkeley Hillel, to bring Veterans from different countries, including the USA, Israel, Finland, Cyprus and maybe more! Feel free to join even if you're not a veteran. Dinner starts at 7:30pm.
During the dinner, a member of Berkeley Hillel will share the traditions of Shabbat and how Hillel can be a resource to the Cal Veterans and Zach Valdez will share his experience on The Perspectives Trip (an all expenses paid educational trip to learn about Israel and Palestine).
Everyone who will attend will have the opportunity to learn about Jewish culture, make new friends, and most importantly take part in bridging a connection with another group of students on campus.
What is Shabbat? A Jewish tradition where a day of rest concludes with a delicious dinner with family and friends. The Cal Veteran Group has the privilege to co-host this dinner with Berkeley Hillel. Please join us and enjoy the food, wine/beer, and the company of one another.
